No Doubt about it, Brides Love Pink!!!

Ah, pink. Some say a woman's life-long love for pink is biological. Others say it's nothing more than sweet free will.

Either way, for many brides, a wedding isn't the lifelong dream it should be without a hefty dose of pink.

And while the hues we pair with it might change from year to year, pink at its core ... which says young love, playfulness and fresh-faced romance ... sends the same beloved message across the ages.

Still, even pink isn't immune to the forces that, over time, make weddings ever-more personal statements of our own individual design sensibilities ... and love stories.

So while some pink weddings hark back to fairy tales from once-upon-a-time, others are practically punk-rock (you won't see yards of tulle at your typical pink and black wedding). And then there are the unexpected pinks: the ethereal pink and silver, for example, that warm up a modern winter wonderland wedding.
In fact, while pink might not exactly be the new black, it might actually be the new 'neutral' — cozying up gorgeously with all kinds of colors, creating looks that range from demure to drama queen.

Simple is Elegance when it comes to Centerpieces

Using Waterford's provided centerpiece (Round Vase, Round Mirror and three votive candles) this Bride provided her own beads and flowers for the vase which created an elegant centerpiece for each table. Some Brides insist that centerpieces are always expensive and elaborate, but as our Brides prove, simple really is elegance!

A Recent Themed Bat Mitzvah was a Big Hit

A Bat Mitzvah in November 0f 2008 was a huge success. They chose bright colored linen, balloons and flashy centerpieces to wow their young adult guests. The linen was rented from one of our preferred vendors, Gala Cloths, and added that extra flash to her "Fashion"-themed Bat Mitzvah.

They used one of our preferred vendors (Washington Talent) to do their t-shirt artwork (see below) The guests at this party were able to create their own personalized T-shirt artwork as part of their party favor for the evening. T-shirt Creation stations are very common at Bar and Bat Mitzvah's.

Although all of our ballrooms are elegantly and beautifully designed this Bat Mitzvah added some fun balloon arches throughout the Hazel Ballroom to incorporate her theme colors and an intriguing atmosphere. Balloon arches can become very time consuming to put together, but they do add a lot to the feel of a young adult's party.

This event chose to add a lot of extra decorations throughout there ballroom. A few including a glitter-fabulous candle platform (candle lighting ceremony), unique centerpieces, creative guest name tags, and a personalized pink guestbook.

It's Holiday Party Season!!!

It's that time of year again!!! Time to celebrate your amazing hard-working employees! During the month of December, Waterford at Springfield will have hosted over 30 Holiday Parties!! From early December through late January we decorate our lobby and waterwall with beautiful pink, yellow, red, and multi-colored pointsettias. The pointsettias add a warm Holiday spirit and help to create the perfect Holiday Party ambiance.

Wedding Ceremonies and Receptions.... We can do it all!

Waterford at Springfield can host both Wedding Ceremonies as well as Wedding Receptions. The Wedding Ceremony below rented chair covers and sashes to decorate their Ceremony. We reccomend Gala Cloths, located in Reistestown, MD who provide beautiful linens of all sizes, colors, and designs. Waterford provided the pillars on which they placed their floral arrangements next to the alter.

Each Bride and Groom may personalize their special day by choosing to do something memorable as they exit the Reception, such as the couple below who chose to have

a farewell bubble line as they exited the facility. This offers the guests one last chance to congatulate the Bride and Groom as well as see them off as they leave for their Honeymoon.
